Similar to our Physical Health, our Mental Health is a continuum.  Members of the Racialized Communities including Afro Caribbean and Black (ACB) communities face many challenges to mental health including the impact of racism, and this can be particularly acute for women, who face additional challenges due to the impact of domestic violence.  Since 1999 we have made it a priority to address mental health in the Racialized Community with a focus on ACB  community, including women and Immigrant/Newcomers through our free Mental health workshops/ seminars/ webinars, support groups , one-on-one and drop-in counselling sessions.  A key focus has been on mental health supports to women experiencing Domestic violence / Gender Based Violence and Human Trafficking. Our support services are provided by licensed ACB councillors and as such is bound by code of Professional regulations, bylaws, code of ethics and confidentiality. We are in compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act, 2004 (PHIPA)
