Over almost 25 years, we have been active in the racialized community providing mental health supports to women and girls experiencing and/or survivors of gender-based violence to flourish and thriive. Since then based on the input and involvement of these women we have expanded our services to address other key areas to ensure that they are able to permanently escape the cycle of violence.
Similar to our Physical Health, our Mental Health is a continuum. Members of the Racialized Communities including Afro Caribbean and Black (ACB) communities face many challenges to mental health including the impact of racism, and this can be particularly acute for women, who face additional challenges due to the impact of domestic viole
Similar to our Physical Health, our Mental Health is a continuum. Members of the Racialized Communities including Afro Caribbean and Black (ACB) communities face many challenges to mental health including the impact of racism, and this can be particularly acute for women, who face additional challenges due to the impact of domestic violence. Since 1999 we have made it a priority to address mental health in the Racialized Community with a focus on ACB community, including women and Immigrant/Newcomers through our free Mental health workshops/ seminars/ webinars, support groups , one-on-one and drop-in counselling sessions. A key focus has been on mental health supports to women experiencing Domestic violence / Gender Based Violence and Human Trafficking. Our support services are provided by licensed ACB councillors and as such is bound by code of Professional regulations, bylaws, code of ethics and confidentiality. We are in compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act, 2004 (PHIPA)

Through comprehensive support and building community advocacy, we cultivate opportunities for mental resilience and economic autonomy ensuring a safe and prosperous life.
